Movie Poster sketches & designs

The first poster, titled "Broken" has a very simple design. It consists purely of an image of myself lying on the table and a title. The simple design is intended to show that this short film isn't complicated and the audience can clearly tell that it is meant to be a sad and emotional film. The picture would have a blurred background to show that the film is focused on the person in frame and nothing else.

The second poster, titled "Goodbye" also has a very simple design and shows that the film will be about loss and grief. The hand also shows that the main character is struggling to let go as it is held out as if to grab someone i.e. the person who has passed away. I prefer this poster because it looks more empathetic and meaningful. It also has a very ghostly effect which could miss lead the audience to thinking its a paranormal horror.

I took the photos for both of these posters and concluded that the second idea was not going to be the best idea as it did end up looking too paranormal and ghostly which I guarantee would mislead my audience into thinking my film is a paranormal themed film. The first poster also portrayed the feeling of loneliness that I was looking for.
