Questionnaire

This is my questionnaire that I posted on my own personal Facebook page to get answers from people who won't necessarily be part of the audience watching my film. The responses that I got from this were extremely helpful and inspiring because these people are older and more experienced in what makes a film successful in its purpose. I was very glad because I got all positive feedback and all answers were serious.

These answers were exactly what I was looking for because they are so detailed. Posting this on my personal page was a very good idea because I got serious answers from family members which helped because most of them know about my Grandma and that this is serious. My other Grandma (Karen Teague) gave me some very good answers which were relevant because she understands the concept of grief that I am trying to use in my film.

Again, the answers that I received were really useful because it also showed me how other people perceive grief and what it is like for them, as shown in Dean Craddock's comment. He suggested using a black and white grainy filter which I really liked the idea of and will use it to create a sadder and more depressing mood and atmosphere in my film.

I personally don't think this piece of research was especially helpful as I did not get any written responses, only "likes". However this did re-enforce to me that my final idea is popular to people outside of my audience as well. I appreciate that my film is not going to revoke everybody's emotions but I believe from my feedback via this post that it will be more successful than I think.

Question 1 has helped me to decide what viewpoint to use in my final film. I also now know which type of viewpoint my audience will prefer and will want to see. A personal viewpoint would have been my preferred choice as I think it will be more effective in carrying the message that is intended.

This next question was more of trial to see what kind of story my audience are expecting. I asked this question more to just see whether this idea would be successful but I then decided against it as I am not personally religious and this would make it not a true story.

Question 2 has re-enforced my hope that my audience will be able to relate to the topic of my film, It has also showed me that it will most likely work as I have planned.

I was really pleased with the response that I got from this question as I have some home made footage of my Grandma and me and seen as the video is about her and how much I miss her, it only seems right to use footage. My hope was that the audience would also have the same thoughts because if they had not have thought it to be a good idea then it would've been a wasted opportunity.
